take the motor out while its still attachs to the wires, if its spins up you know your wirings right, and that its a gearbox issue. maybe you lost some shims or something going in and out.

its all there, maybe its the gear timing? there is no marker in teh vfc box like the mechbox video so i just copied it as well as possible.

no such thing as timing, as long as the teeth of the sector gear are free and clear and the tappet plate hasnt been pre engadged but the timing lobe.
Most people call it the 1' o clock position for ease of telling people.
no timing though. The cut off lever does that.
Do a search for how to shim an aeg gearbox on google im sure theres a good guide, just to check the gears are free moving.
