VFC AK-74 not shooting- not simple problem

basically got my ak a ocuple of weeks ago, first skirmish loved it, fuse blew, no biggie right? Got a new fuse, put it in today, blows after a little pull on full auto without anything happining. this was done witha 9.6v 1500mah. tried the same with a 8.4v 1400mah, nothing happens. Any soulutions / ideas?? I can't take the gearbox out as the nozzle is forward and can't go back :/ .

Checked the connection on the motor?

yup, another fuse just blew, wires are hot and so is battery

Possibly locked up.

Not taken an AK apart myself, but have a lot of other weapons! You sure you cant get the gearbox out!!! The airnozzle should not obstruct anything?!

I would be inclined to strip it to check if the any wires have been exposed and are shorting out.

Did you say it works fine with the 8.4v or you only tested it with the fuse blown??

the hop up unit on the VFC is not allowing the gearbox to come out. i tried both batteries. The 9.6 blew the fuse, tried another fuse with the 8.4v and nothing happened at all

i know how to take it apart!! But the nozzle is forward, and the gearbox isnt coming out!

kingston/putney. i took the gearbox out after removing motor case etc and not really in the mood to ruin my new guns gearbox, i heard if you push the anti reversal latch, it should free up? anyone confirm

u said when you fired on full auto,it blew the fuse,what happened on semi? do you believe that it has jammed,there has to be a reason for this,and there is only one way for certain to find out whats causing the jamming,and thats to open her up

If you take the motor off, you can use some needle noise pliers to lift the arl. You should always do this to any gearbox prior to opening it anyway.

I'd strongly recommend you giving this gun to someone else to fix.

on semi, nothing happend, holding it down on auto blew the fuse. im not going to open up the gearbox. there might be some gearbox jamming. i thought there might of been a easy fix. i'll give it to my gunsmith next time i'm down i suppose. thanks anyway guys
