Re: Tanaka M700 silencer advise
Rather than starting a new thread, anyone any ideas about fitting a silencer/adaptor to the Tanaka M24? Bought an M700 adaptor and it's far too thin for the end cap.

i'm sorry dope i think the only way to settle this is a fight to the death.
on a brighter note that silencer adapter i can almost guarantee will fit a police version as they aren't that different from normal M700s.

I thought that might be a good solution but another issue is the current endcap holds the inner barrel steady. If I fit this adaptor, the inner barrel is looser inside. Not great for accuracy and consistency. I think I need a more elegant solution.

Re: Tanaka M700 silencer advise
Many thanks for the advice. I'll get some more PTFE and black electrical tape soon enough and fit it!

I'm starting to think my AICS may not have been as stock. Because 2 people now have said the AICS has a different barrel from the other M700s. Thinking back on it, the barrel wasn't as easy to fit as I thought it should be. So I guess it's possible I got a modified one. By the time you get your hands on a PCS M700, it's going to have been through a fair few peoples hands anyway.

I had my AICS before the L96 came out. It's a mystery, it's also totally tangential to this current situation.

Google explains better than I could. Rather, WordNet, Wiktionary and other sites do.
