My new project! ;-) new mask
11 September, 2012, 19:49
So I really wanted an iron man mask to play airsoft in but I didn't like any of the ones out there, so I have made my own...
I shall use this thread as a updating progress,
This is where i am at ATM, just started adding filler to smooth out the imperfections. I plan on adding fans and lights in the eyes.
I am using an old cheap mesh mask to use in the eyes.
Can't wait to get it finished!!

You're going to look ridiculous without the matching armour *hint-hint*

Haha we shall see. I'm not painting it red and yellow, I'm doing it dark metallic gray and metallic silver ;-)
These colours

You will look more like 'War Machine' than Iron Man if you go for black/grey but either way, I like it.
Where did you get the mask from originally?
But I, being poor, have only my dreams;
I have spread my dreams under your feet;
Tread softly because you tread on my dreams.

They look 'factory' quality so kudos!
I'd definitely be interested tbh

This is the eye test,
There will also be LEDs on this (hidden of course) to give it the glow effect, it will have a switch on the helmet to turn it off ;-) and a separate switch for the fan which is going in the chin

Not my thing but a lot of work is going into it, top work!
I love custom stuff like this, really appreciate the time and effort.

I don't understand the magnets part? Will they actually hold it to your head or just hold it in place?
Great work though I wish there was more truly custom "custom" airsoft stuff not just the usual modified stuff.
