I am hoping that the spring is somewhere in the gun

I am pretty gutted but his approach was rather gun hoe I asked my mates none of them knew that the sector gear could be moved without opening the gun my god I wish I knew that sooner

just so I know what does this odd shapped spring look like?

The spring is made from extremely fine gauge wire it has a small coil with a tail around 5mm long and a main arm that has a number of 90deg kinks that fit around the safety latch. I will upload a picture as soon as I am able. No one in the UK has these as spares including me.

i 100% have not seen that spring so I am guessing its inside the gearbox still *fingers* crossed

I am debating getting a new MP5 just because they suit my height so time to go searching

Be very careful, One gearbox I worked on the spring broke and found it's way into the trigger circuitry and shorted out the system. That was an expensive repair.

Your dad broke it ehh. First time I let my dad have a look at my M4 he lost the semi auto spring and then vacuumed the house ten minutes later. It will forever fire full auto, and my dad will never SEE A GUN AGAIN!
