i know someone who had a PDI piston sear (the thing you can pull out) which was causing that problem so maybe go laylax....

The sears from pdi are made a about .6mm smaller then laylax due to the oversized angle on their own piston which counteracts it.
Depending on money stadard mate buy a set of laylax sears as they will work perfectly with laylax piston
Or by the hard steel action sear set for £56
I know aribos has them in his vsr with the red laylax piston

Gun is now cocking fine after using a different piston guide stopper, go figure!

Old one was too long / wrong pitch it seems :/

If you wished to still use the old spring guide stopper you can just file the top slightly, worked for me when I had this problem.
Great to hear it's fixed now though mate!!
