Depends where you play too. Due to the close nature of the tiny cqb arena I play in, I was able to make do with just a pistol for ages. Let me look at other kit etc for a while until I was a bit more sure of what I want.
Personally I always have a tightish budget so look for bargains, discounts, mainly second hand though.
All the best, and make sure to show some piccys of whatever you decide to pick up!

No point people suggesting £1k AEG's if you want gas and have a budget of £200
£200 sounds like a good price for a first gun tbh.

I'll look into that now. Thanks.

Metal bodies break too, if you fall on it even a Systema can break. The G &G Raiders are good strong guns ideally suited to beginners.

Yep, I'd rather take good quality polymer over cheap pot metal

Agreed, I like a numpty fell on my G36E this past weekend, magazine flew out, foregrip flew off, but polymer body took it really well, no cracks, breaks, bends or anything wrong...very surprised! and to boot its all on camera
Also i'm the second person to fall on this polymer body, so its definitely super strong.

Thanks, how did I know you would say that LOL

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h-GGD31gwpA it's at 2:30mins, fell right on top of it, apparently there's more footage of me picking up the pieces, I continued using the gun for the rest of the day!, what happens when your legs and brain don't communicate together (oh with hundreds of bb's flying at you also), at 6:00mins i'm still there using it.

In response to your OP, I have the King arms sig 556. It's a bastard to get feeding right on standard mid caps but once you do it's a great fun gun. Mine is the blowback one and I use it for milsim.
