^^ Don't forget the pointless spam posts.

(I'm pretty sure discussing the merits of the law isn't "bitching" )

Seeing as they use paint, In stead of buying brand new parts .. Paint remover? When you get your UKARA of course, just a thought how ever

Usually the parts such as Stock, Foregrip, Grip and so on are painted. Which is a sketchy area. It defeats the object. You can get a new Stock, Foregrip and Grip from HK for about £20-£30. Even cheaper than that if you search the forum for a second hand deal.

However let's leave that point for another thread. No matter what paint they use it will eventually chip/flake/wear off. But as you'd be looking to change it when your eligible to buy a RIF that wouldn't pose much of an issue. You can take the paint off using fairy power spray. But it will take a fair bit of elbow grease the longer you have the paint on there.

Most paint removers would melt any plastics that had been painted or remove the black paint under the two-toning awell, I believe.

            It's a good idea though.

Paint remover won't harm an anodized finish. But anything painted and it'll take it all right away. Things like this are the difference between Dboys and G&P receivers.
