Has anyone purchased a recoil TM upgraded from zero? Could they also fit a tightbore and if so would I need new hop up?

For the SOPMOD, I should point out that the springs are shorter, not longer than regular ones. This means that if you get zero one to upgrade it they will put in a sthandar length age spring which will bunch up inside and not work properly.
What I did was buy a Eagle 6 M90 and get the to put it in. Get's around the promblems

you defo won't need a new hop up
its one of the best on the market.
as stated if you are going to upgrade the spring make sure they use an eagle 6 spring

Yup eagle6 mods are the way to go to fine tune a recoil marui...
Simplest upgrade is not a new spring but a Prometheus (can never spell that) tight bore.... If ever you need new upgrades and don't want to do it yourself, send you gun to richard and he will do it for you.... top bloke!

Re: Thinking of getting a Tokyo Marui. Got some questions.
if you do go down the barrel route, don't be drawn into the tighter is better! 6.04mm has been shown to be the best performing PDI barrel out there with 450mm or so being the optimum length!

Re: Thinking of getting a Tokyo Marui. Got some questions.
I do believe the SOPMOD stock barrels are 6.05mm.... bearing that in mind, the stock barrel performs exceptionally well.....at the end of the day it comes down to how much you want to spend. If you can afford it, get a recoil Marui, play around with it for a few games and then decide if you want to upgrade...otherwise if you upgrade from the start, you will never see the difference (if any).....

Re: Thinking of getting a Tokyo Marui. Got some questions.
The reason people reccomend TM to new players is very simple.
You are pretty much guaranteed to get a reliable gun out of the box that you can turn up to a new site and use it without problem.
If you are the kind of person that tinkers or who doesn't mind getting someone to tinker on your behalf, then there are other options.
People are trying to help you by giving advise, but for some reason you seem to be ignoring it. Please do us all a favour and yourself by
a) looking through the thread as shown.
b) use other peoples experteese on the forum.

Re: Thinking of getting a Tokyo Marui. Got some questions.
Thanks Midas for your very helpful comment. However I don't see any better way of gathering information/advice than starting a thread on here. How can you tell if I am ignoring information, or using it wisely? Seems a very strange thing to say. Perhaps you didn't read the whole thread before commenting? Any how guys keep the responses coming and please ignore Midas I much appreciate and value anyone's suggestions comments.
So has anyone actually purchased an upgraded TM recoil from zeroone?
Cheers

That's actually bull I have one of the "Specialist SOPMOD springs" but I know for a fact that Z1 clip the spring to the correct size for SOPMOD's.
@Brodhurst my mate has one from Z1 and they have done all his custom work to it they are more than capable of working on them, they also full service my SOPMOD every few months.
If you have any worries just ring them (don't bother Emailing) and talk to them about it, mention the spring to them and they will tell you what they do

NOOOOO...I am merly trying to point you in the direction of rich, who im sure has more sopmod experiance than anyone else on here....See not strange at all. I did read the whole thread which is how I can see you repeatedly asking the same questions. Without bothering to do any investigative work yourself.
