Re: Combat diver/frogman loadout
I reccomend watching this video for inspiration
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s3i9pXF0oQ8
You will need a garish neon orange wetsuit, a typical "rent-a-goon" haircut, and a harpoon gun.
Somebody needs to make an airsoft harpoon gun... that would be awesome. I could live out all my Tomb Raider 2 fantasies then with my lara croft blow up doll.... mmm....

Re: Combat diver/frogman loadout
Jokes aside ...
I've just recently completed a frogman outfit with a kinda-lookalike rebreather.
Before you ask, yes, I have used a stripped down version of this kit (no rebreather) in an airsoft game.
Obviously the use was in the water not in land as that would be horribly painful as mentioned in the past comments.
Worked perfectly as none was expecting anyone (
nut
) coming from the water armed with a springer
I've also used a gas pistol, but it didn't work as well as a springer after getting water in it.
For a land usable kit, I'd say use a black flight suit and a balaclava with the rest of the kit.

So would the harpoon bit be loads of BBs glued together in a line? :p

Re: Combat diver/frogman loadout
Just seen this thread.
All I can say is.... WHY?
You will look a fool (Or a gimp).
Dressing up in soldiers gear to play Airsoft takes some understanding but diving gear??
C'mon, even the most hardcore milsim players with plates in their vests will be giving you odd looks.
Not practical in anyway, doesn't look good and you will sweat buckets. Stop these SF fantasies.

Re: Combat diver/frogman loadout
So much win yet so much fail at the same time... This WOULD look cool in the correct environment and if it were done perfectly, but otherwise I fear you'd just look a twonk. If there's no water where you play (and you don't use a springer) I'd just say what's the point? It'd only make sense if there was some water where you played, or if it were by the coast or something, but even then. As has been said, contending with rashes and broken ankles aint nice!
Out of curiosity, have you ever worn a wetsuit for any extended period outside of the water? It's SO uncomfortable - they're horrible - and that's only from putting one on 20 minutes or so before water. Believe me, you'd pack up and leave after the first game if you showed up in a wetsuit, it'd just be too painful and awkward. Interesting idea though!

Re: Combat diver/frogman loadout
Whether its a fail or win, I just happy someone is exploring a different loadout to the normal SF type multicam ones!
I for one support innovation in airsoft :D

Its an intresting idea but there is not praticality in it! In every site i have been too they all say "first thing to buy is a GOOD PAIR OF BOOTS - they turn a broken ankle to a sprain one"
That footware is just not right for almost any woodland enviroment..and well CQB, ..... you just will look funny.
Mind I give you credit the loadout looks amazing! but be a realist and put that COD mentality away and use what you will find practical and useful.
Most players will tell you that play in whats comfortable; .... and that does NOT look comfy!
But hey its your loadout..your choice.
Assumption is the mother of F*&% Ups!
