Don't the marines wear pretty much the same as the army but with marine badges on?
I've seen them on the tv wearing all the regular DPM webbing etc.
So really couldn't he just get any issue dpm stuff and call it marine?

But yes I agree about the berets. I know an ex marine who'd beat the snot out of any civi he caught in a green beret

How true, the booties are part of the RN (and REALLY love you to remind them of it as often as you can!).

I've avoided that one ever since using it on a booty officer on the way to a dive, only to get caught in a current and taken half a mile from the planned pick-up point. Me and the navy lad I was diving with had to endure a very long trip of "should have dived marines" on the way back!

But, and this is totally true, one of my best friends is married to a booty band master and a friend of my father was a WO2 with the booty band on the royal yacht.

I love taking the p*ss out of them (inter-service rivalry etc etc), but enjoyed every minute I spent training some of their MPs on the RMP driving course (and later with the Navy/FSL driving team) and have nothing but total respect for their bravery and dedication.

They're still self-swamping Royals though:D

rockinrobin i do believe it does say Royal Navy but some of us have got past this and had navy scratched out so it now just reads simply "Royal" :P

Abbadon - i dont play any instruments i just stand at the back whistling, makes a nice tune
