Anyone selling items like this on Fleebay or simillar is likely to receive a visit from the MOD police fairly soon...
I wouldn't bank on it!
However Avon themselves used to have a team who's job was to monitor auction sites etc to make sure none of these got on the market.

Re: The new General Service Respirator
According to our FP Trg Flight when i did my GSR conversion course the lenses in the GSR are ballistic rated to a similar level as the ESS Glasses.
The GSR is a great resi and mush easier to use in the chamber that the old S10 though it's still a bugger to shoot with. Also it can be a bastard to fit as there are many variations on the internal and external masks.

Won't one of the canisters get in the way if shouldering a rifle?

I didn't find it a problem when I was testing it, in fact it was easier than when using the S10 to get a good sight picture. It is a very good piece of kit if Avon can fix the few issues it has.

Re: The new General Service Respirator
I found it worse that the S-10 for shooting in! as you could at least crush doen onto the top of the rifle in the S-10 to give you a hale decent sight picture which you CAN'T do in the new one due to the canister mounts!

Re: The new General Service Respirator
Whilst I have no experience using it in the real world, simply for posing with y airsoft gear it looks good, feels good and personally I find it much easier to use weapon sights with the GSR than the S10.
My only complaint is the convex lense slightly distorts your vision if you dont get it sat at just the right angle. I assume thats something to do with custom fitting the inner/outer mask parts to individual heads.
