Re: Generic Russian/Eastern bloc look
I'd say if you want to go for authenticity, don't go for MOLLE with an Eastern European loadout.
Get a Chi-com chest rig, simple belt, and a uniform. Uniform I'd advise Flora, Birch, Smog, or whatever else floats your boat.
This site has a good archive on camo schemes from all over the world (NOT A RETAILER), but keep in mind that you can't find some of the camo patterns you see on this site for sale anywhere, so stick with what you know.

Oh, and it'll be cheap as well if all you're getting is a belt, chest-rig, and uniform. Nice, easy loadout.

Re: Generic Russian/Eastern bloc look
There are some commercially available Molle vests in Russia, but their use is very limited. Its certainly not issue.
An AKSU limits you to Russian too as they're the only ones to ever really use it, and then its mainly for vehicle and helicopter crews. You could go for a tank crew look for something a bit different. Some Flora, tankers helmet and basic belt kit would be enough but may not be that practical in airsoft- crews aren't intended to fight on foot after all.

Or you could get a wind-proof suit in Russian woodland Tigr stripe and a simple chest-rig. Put a balaclava on top and you can pass for MVD,Ministry of Internal Affairs, who use AKs-74u's.
Actually, if you want a Molle vest, get a simple black one (NOT a plate carrier) with the camo I mentioned. Instant MVD task-force look you got.
Camo can be woodland or urban version.

All of those pictures have been ripped from a rus military retailer I know of.
I'd hardly call them credible.

Said nowt about wether they were credible, posted them as people were wondering what was out there. I've used said retailer several times, and find the gear to be very good, just bought the Ukranian 3 colour set for a game this weekend.

This was largely just an exercise in picture editing, but it turned out not too bad..
Please excuse the kitchen backdrop, and crappy camera quality. It was late

I still think of the sniper's loadout from Behind Enemy Lines whenever this sort of question crops up.
The film should also give some good ideas for both military and paramilitary style uniforms.
just make sure you don't follow weapons as they made few serious mistakes.
