Re: Airsoft gun seized and destroyed by PC

It does prove, however, that your regular PC can't tell the difference, and I suspect the police who took my team mates kit had armed response officers with them, proving that they simply can't look and tell or are unwilling to, which was my point.

Thats just speculation with out anyone there to confirm it.. yes if i took my sopmod m4 and layed it out on the street and walked away... its a good chance the police would be called and they would simply take the gun a way no questions asked...

Im just saying theres no chance in hell they would walk in to my house and take my guns while im here.

If you wanna put that all on a sliding scale with richard and his house on one end... and a guy running round town waving a two tone with his pants around his ankles shouting im am elietest noob why did rampage ban me then thats fine... i can live with that.

Re: Airsoft gun seized and destroyed by PC

Well, having taken the time to read each post carefully, im going to have my two pence worth.

Richardy....if the police have lawful authority or reasonable excuse, they ARE coming in and taking ANYTHING which the above authority or excuse says they can. Im not saying theyre going to take anything and everything but you being home isnt going to stop them.

Hate to ring true of most of the posts in here but, either this guy is talking BS, he's been running around the street with a particular RIF (thats why they'll take one and not all ) or he's been shooting his mouth off about the weapon in question and something he's going to do with it.

With regards to how they removed it and where they removed it too.

There are only a few laws that dictate when the police can enter a house and peform a search so....

Either this guy has commited an offence, been arrested and a SECTION 18 of PACE search has been authorised by an inspector.

Intelligence has been recieved that either the guy in quesiton has been doing something he shouldn't with the particular RIF or is going to do it and a warrant will be authorised by a magistrate in order to secure that weapon.

Or intelligence has been recieved to say that it is stolen or something similar.

So to the guy that started this thread. If a warrant has been executed there should be a copy of the warrant left at the address, regardless of if there was someone home or not. this will have the OIC's name and collar number along with a contact number. There WILL NOT be a list of what has been removed as this will be with the OIC and then available to you.

Have you been a naughty boy ?
Have you been shooting your mouth off ?
Or is this a cry for attention ??

If you feel you cant publically announce your reply, please fell free to PM and I will discuss any further questions in private with you.

Hope I dont offend anyone as thats not what I aim to do.

        Thanks,
        Matt.

I havent personally but, the last time I was down at UCAP, one of the marshalls at UCAP (may even have been the owner but im not sure) was telling us that the previous week his house had been raided by the Police after someone reported he had guns in the house and all of his kit was taken. He was battling to get it back but I dont know if he did.

As for one person talking about the kit in halls if the university suspect that something is being kept there outside of their regulations they can just walk in and search themselves, or at least thats what the contract says at Reading. In fact, since the club was started up, they have added in airsoft guns in the same paragraph where it states no bb guns in halls.

Re: Airsoft gun seized and destroyed by PC

I think the fact that this is the second time that the OP has been discussing such a topic on here, allied to the fact that he seems unable to tell us exactly why this has happened, points to something more sinister going on, and I'd suggest that its someone (possibly him) being utterly stupid with a RIF. I doubt we'll ever find out, as he's not likely to tell us if he HAS been stupid.....

Re: Airsoft gun seized and destroyed by PC

around 6 years ago i had my house searched after a neighbough reported seeing me with firearms (whilst in my shed). police turned up (unarmed) looked through my stuff and seized only one of my many airsoft guns, a Maurzen L96. It was taken away for testing and i got it back within 2 weeks.

I had numerous GBB pistols & AEG's but they only took the L96! As much as it is an pain in the rear there only doing there job to the best they can at the given time, if a firearms officer was present then im sure they would not of taken it.

Re: Airsoft gun seized and destroyed by PC

YES i have been raided by the CO19 unit in Derby,

because the police implimented operation red shank, to try and cut down on gang members shooting each other.....

the police got tipped off from my old neighbour calling them about me having guns because i moved from my mates car on game days before i had gun cases and slips,

                  all in total mate,

the police installed tracker software into my laptop so i dont go onto real firearms sites or shops ....

and also it took them 5 months to determine if the bb's inside my bags will melt down into real bullets, and to check to see if the plastic guns will fire 5.56 rounds when it has electronic wires into the PEQ box,

but got all my guns back working order ish, bar one pistol that they broke the trigger mech from operating as it had real trades on the slide and frame....

but yes, i did get seized , got all my gear back but hey what can you do

End of the day you don't need to be waving around a RIF to get it taken away.

I'd suggest a likely scenario would be along the lines of plod have come knocking due to a drugs tip off. Then they could seize anything they deem could be evidence in said activity. Imitation firearms, bundles of cash, weighing scales, halogen lights etc (list is endless, and all items you are allowed to own legally).

The fact of the matter is, the police have entered your house for a good reason, and we know this because you are not willing to say why.

Which leads me to believe, until you'd give the impression otherwise, you are best kept away from RIF's and our fragile defence!

Re: Airsoft gun seized and destroyed by PC

My old neighbour reported me after looking through my shed window (i guess) as i alway took them out in there bags. On the rare occasion i use mine in the garden i will make sure no neighbours are in there gardens and shoot from within my conservatory and dont ever take them into the garden. Unfortunatly due to the way the country is with firearms at current if someone see's what they deem a "gun", be it in your garden or going into the boot of your car the senisble and understandable thing to do is call the police.

I can only recommend safe and sensible use or transport regardless if your at home or not.

Id rather be the more cautious than having to run around with a bright green AEG etc...

                            hi,
i suggest that everyone just stops now because this can easily turn nasty,as i have seen in the past
and some people on this thread are just trolling now, although others i can tell are just tying to investigate the situation
in the defence of the original poster, all he asked was if anyone had rifs taking and destroyed and if so what they did next
so the only necessary asnwer is a yes,no and what you did if you have had them taken, why he had the taken i agree is very important to him and his argument with the authorities, but no one elses buissness, after all he wasnt asking what he should do,he was asking what had been done,if this hasnt happened to you then this thread has no relevance to you ,doesnt concern you and therefore you shouldnt be posting

now...i have had this happen to me in the past as police do become very irashinal when it comes to firearms,as one bad call could be fatal,so they dont take any chances, all i did was brig proof of 6 recent skirmish events i attended,a description of the situation when the gun was conferskated, and cooperated with the police officers,i also brought quit a portfolio of the vcra act and other laws regarding rifs, which told the limitations and exeptions of the posession of a rif, that way they couldnt tell me any thing as i had my own story and refferal proof to back up that what i was doing was totally legal

In order to really be of any help to the OP, it would be a good start to ascertain why they seized it, if it was for running around in public with it or for threating someone with one (examples only) taking in proof of being a skirmisher wont cut it.

Everyone who has commented so far is just trying to help, but this is made harder not knowing why the police searched his house in the first place

Only when we know can we give advice and help the OP with this issue

i thought i had included this but i guess my computer didnt catch this bit

my rif was seized because a neighbour had seen me load my rif into my car from my house, and as i returned from a skirmish i was stopped by 7 armed police vehicles. one of them had a g36 pointing it in my face.
