That bugs me as i'd rather only get shot IN a game. The amount of people i see wandering around WITH fingers on triggers is a little disconcerting.

        I
dont know they haven't cleared the gun outside a safe zone, so usually i keep my glasses on all day. Its not hard to keep your finger off the trigger at the end of the day.

As for keeping on topic, i shoulder rifles as i've seen countless operators do it, what i assume is the correct way. It doesnt pee me off it people do it wrong, it just makes me laugh. Especially when people lean backwards rather than INTO the stance, makes me chuckle at how much of a boob they look.

at what site are you playing where players have safety off, rounds in chamber, and mags in, while in the safe zone!!!!

No mags in, i flip at people i see with that mate.

People just carry guns with their fingers on triggers. As for rounds in the chamber, thats what bugs me, if YOU don't know they've cleared it why run the risk of taking off eye protection if they are toting a gun with a finger on the trigger.

The chicken wing thing, all you are doing is making a bigger target, the smaller you are as a package the harder you are to hit!

You only really see chicken winging at woodland - in CQB it pretty much doubles your profile with half an arm sticking into the corridor, so people learn not to do it very fast

Too be honest, I'm pretty sure that some 'outfits' train to walk around with the safety on then quickly switch to semi when they make contact. When I say I'm pretty sure I mean that's what I've seen on a few documentaries about a certain Service that is Air, Special... Dunno where their finger is though lol. Can anyone correct me if I'm wrong?

Saw it plenty of times last night on the documentary on chan 4 don't see what the issue is.
Rofl, if there was a 'thanks' button on this forum I would have thanked that lol.

Back on topic, most people that play airsoft haven't been in the military and haven't been trained how to shoulder a gun properly, etc. So, with that in mind I don't personally care if someone is holding their gun wrong. Infact they can be holding it upside down for all I care, as long as they're not blind firing, what's the problem?

                      Re: A minor moan

I think the OP is simply stating that airsofters have double standards and are rather hypocritical, which of course, to a degree, everyone is. Many airsofters complain about realistic gear, tactics etc, but do not know the basics of handling a weapon. I understand the point of view, and there is always cause for concern when players do not safety their gun or keep their trigger finger away from the trigger in the safe zone or anywhere off the field.

                        Re: A minor moan

how about for a change we dont just moan about people whom are new to airsoft or just un trained as such and help them by the old tell me show me route!!! help people more often by explaining why they should hold a firearm correctly them show them by using your gear the right way and then we can move on to more important topics like shooting the other team before they shoot you

p.s. im ex forces and my pet hate is people wearing a crap hat (brit camo short peaked hat) as these are issued to paras befor they go though bull night and earn there maroon beret with green plastic behind the wing to stop them touching the beret as this is earned after p company !!!!!!!!! and no one i mean NO ONE WOULD EVER PUT THIS ON IF THEY EVER HAD TO IN THE PARAS as it is supposed to be an insult to the nebie paras

My step dad was issued with a crap hat, he wasn't trying to get in the paras. I think there's a picture of jfox61 wearing one too, and neither was he, so don't think it was exclusively for paras

                                Re: A minor moan

Crap hats are basic standard Army issue. They weren't issued as a reason to make you look a wally. You are however correct about the paras making pre P company guys wearing it. However, it wasn't solely the Paras who had this tradition. Pretty much any unit in the British army had exactly the same tradition. Just that the paras are more high profile than most units, and as such some of their traditions are highlighted more often.

Fizzy is correct, there's a pic of me in the UK forces thread wearing one. This was worn on my final basic training excercise. I was the only one wearing it. Everyone had their MKIV helmets except for me.

Our training NCO though it would be a good idea to use mine as a demonstration of the thunderflashes ability at injuring someone. He placed one under the helmet and blew it 20 ft in the air punching a hole in it. So I spent the whole weekend looking like a right tw*t.
