Re: has magpull had its day
Considering the amount of real steel operators that buy their own magpul stocks and grips for their weapons I think it is safe to say they are making money hand over fist.

What is to say they don't buy it for the same reasons airsofters buy Magpul? To "fit in".

Re: has magpull had its day
In airsoft terms maybe its an accessory not a necessity, most Magpul kit is designed for real world applications so they're only going to design to what the operators etc want.
From an Airsoft perspective I their kit is very much gun porn, some of it works well and some people use it correctly and it makes a big difference in their game play. Others its just a nicety to have.
I think you have to look at the current financial climates, can people afford magpuls and grips for £££ plastic toy they have just bought to play a weekend game?

Re: has magpull had its day
you must remember their a real steel company first, and the fact that they dont bring out a new product every month is because they make functional parts for real guns just like kac, vltor and other manufactures, the pts stuff isn't their main focus,if you go on any ar forum you will see that the pmag and moe range has almost replaced the m4 stanag and standard hand guard and grip, they make products that function the fact that they look good is a bonus.

Re: has magpull had its day
Too many people on these forums are like "LULZ FAGPULL NUBZORS" but end of the day PTS stuff is made brilliantly functions well because that is what it was made to do magpul isnt a fashion lable as soo many airsofters want to call it, lets be honest here Airsoft is personal Prefrence if you like it use it.

Re: has magpull had its day
When exactly did the term operator become coined for military use? I can't stand the word personally. Magpul make fantastic kit, "Operator" or PTS, and half of airsoft is fashion anyway so suck it up.

I think what they have so far is only the beginning. Like any big company out there - they'll R&D more products in good time. I've been impressed with their stuff so far and although their popularity in airsoft may be declining, I think that can simply be put down to a phase. When it's new everyone wants it and when everyone has it then it's old news - it's the same with any product. Or you get the odd people here and there who simply hate the brand from the get go because they want to be the odd ones out and not conform with the majority.

I think their airsoft market is just a way to cash in however their real steel application for law enforcement specialists etc is really beneficial like the bad lever

Re: has magpull had its day
magpull is great, and is definately not washed up at all,if it works for you,use it,magpull gets the job done,is a proffesional piece of kit so it is moulded in someones living room, and it looks stunning, why wouldnt you buy it?people just dont like it because in theire opinion its over used, well whatever that person has on there gun is there problem,if theve made it a "magpul whore" the so waht, its there money there preference and most importantly their gun.i personally like the challenge of creating a stunnung gun without the use of magpull, just because it makes me unique and makes me feel good when someone asks and instead of magpul is say "king arms or,vltor"it just leaves them puzzled with my creativity and my ability to create such a gun without the use of magpul, but that doesnt mean i hat magpul,i love it,i just like to be unique

Depends really. They do make some nice addons. If used in moderation I think it's fine. Just "Don't make it a Magpul whore"
