Consistency. My WE M4 fired a maximum of 10 rounds full-auto before it went 'kaput' due to the gas. You could use CO2, but as we all know not all sites allow it, GZ being one of them i think. I'm thinking DMR platform right now, but we'll see
In all honesty, the whole concept almost feels novelty-like to me, but that is entirely subjective. I'll not be using it until the ridiculously warm summer, even then it might just be for the odd game. My PTW is my go-to weapon, and i can't see that changing.

Well I used my WE M4 GBB last weekend at Milsim combat mission. I got 60 rounds rounds per single magazine fill and I got the highest hit count in my 7 man squad because of the WE's range and accuracy. The temp was around 16 celcius. My gun did not go 'Kauput'- in fact they don't unless you do not fill the mags properly and/or you're using just green gas with all that silicone oil. I switched to my electric gun at around 6pm when the temp starting going down- I needed the CO2 mags!
As for Co2, the reason some (but I have never found any) sites may not allow CO2 has nothing to to with CO2 per se but with the high FPS associated with the gas. CO2 pistols fire at absurdly high FPS which is why they are viewed with suspicion by some site owners.
The WE as you may know by now can have it's FPS adjusted by using different valves. If you bring a weapon with CO2 onto a site and it is within site FPS limits, you will not find a problem- who cares whether is propane of CO2??- it's an FPS issue. I've attend a majority of sites in southern UK and not one single site has mentioned CO2 not being allowed- it's the FPS limits that are of concern for pistols since GBB assault rifles as a new thing.
A novelty? I wonder how much of a novelty the guys holding Systemas thought when I shot them
The WE M4 GBB is the closest you'll get to the real steel. Just take a look at the field strip on

Re: PTW Replicas.
Simple question. I really want a WE m4, so shall i get co2 or gas mags? im in the uk so the weathers cold all the time pretty much. Co2 isn't effected by the cold or heat so thats not a problem. I heard co2 has more kick and fps but im gonna get the ratech npas for it so i can adjust the FPS with ease. So what shall i use co2 or gas?
Many thanks Liam

Re: PTW Replicas.
ok I have both the CTW and the PTW. The CTW is one from the early batch - in fact it's one of the first 15 made. It doesn't work very well, there's a problem with the sensor on the board which means that it wont fire at all in semi and although it fires in full auto the broken sensor means that the gun cycles with trigger pull rather than with GBX revolutions. Build quality is very good, considering I only paid £300 for it, although there's an annoying wobble between upper and lower receivers. It fires consistently at 345fps, and is very accurate. Range is good.
Although it doesnt compare to the PTW, I'd say that for £600 (which is what they were retailing here for) its certainly worth it. The new batch will have the 2008-designed boards in them, so should be more trouble-free.

Re: PTW Replicas.
Well I for one will be watching out for the ACM ones, and see if they do the favorite sound of the systemas Ive seen in action..................SPANG!!!!!! :D:D:D
If they are cheaper even by 600 quid they are far better value for money straight away, 1200 quid for esentially an ordinary airsoft rifle is extortionate, when a systema works, by god they work well, but you also still get a lot of turkeys in the lot that do nothing but break, for 1200 quid and what nion 8+ years of experiance making them, they should be nearly perfect by now, lets hope celcius and A&K get it right the first time.

Re: PTW Replicas.
totaly agree i have systema mp5 with all the addons but you can get the same performance from a tricked up classic army or ics, and tbh i dont think there worth what you pay for them, i still cant get spare parts for the mp5 and its been out for years although the my gun works fine it would be nice to be able to get the parts when and if needed. Im waiting for the CTW to arrive over here to see if that is the worth the money. The systema are good but as said not what as good as what every one hypes them up to be and i prefer a tricked up g&p then a ptw.

Re: PTW Replicas.
Why did you get a PTW then... And not just build up a "Tricked up CA" : /

Perhaps he only realised/saw the sheer expensiveness of such a hit and miss rifle after he bought it

Re: PTW Replicas.
Surely you would be trying them out before spending so much on one... You don't go buy a brand new Aston Martin without a test drive...

Re: PTW Replicas.
Systemas were never meant to be skirmishing weapons, hence Systema has next to no sympathy for airsofters when breakages occur.
Now the Celcius and A&K are being released to not only get onto the realism market and take sales from Systema, but they might actually be reliable knowing full well its going to the open market for skirmishing reasons and skirmishing reasons only. Thats my opinion anyway.

Re: PTW Replicas.
in the 3 years i have had my gen4 all thats gone majority wrong is the mags.
425fps with 1 fps variation both sides, and i have submersed mine. Like tb said on the first page a few cheep mods they run sweet as a nut.
out of the 9 ptws in our team, the most common breakage's are a oring going in the air nozzel or snapping the body ( last one is due to either falling in a badger hole or slings braking)
