I'd ask why you are against cheaper competitors. Means more options for entry-level guns than the few upper-market sportlines* available, which is better for airsoft as a whole since it means more new people are getting into it.
* Heard terrible things about CA M15A4 Sportlines and that newer clones are basically better in every way so it's not all roses.

i spoke with a airsoft supplier in scotland
apperently they are in the final stages of testing once there happy they will make a production model then ship them out to us in the uk
will be so fecking cool

personally, i feel more comfortable paying £150 for a gun..
rather than £300+ on an ICS/toptech.
especially when the cheaper ones work just as well
(okay... so they might only last a year, but i'm happier with that, plus my CYMA m14 was £110 and it's 2 years old
