As much as you have commited crimes against humanity by using plain jane stanags in a G36 (only black PMAGS are acceptable) and I'm not usually a fan of Tan guns, thats actually pretty good Jag.

You stuck to the golden rule of tanning a gun is to leave black parts as highlights.

Are you aiming for this like back in your MP5 thread,



I think would look eve better with the top rail done as well.

jag paint the top rail! its too much black it is messing up the balance (not just saying it becuase its how I've got mine)

and you have to suffer the awkwardness of g36 mags for the looks

Nah I disagree there, the m4 mags actually finish that G36 perfectly I think, just makes it even more different and awesome. Hat off to you Jag, well done!

Just to clarify those are not my G36c's, although if i were ever to... erm... go the "tan route" I would deffinately try to create the depth in the paintwork. I think they work so well because it's not just flat colours, the person who sprayed them has also dusted the black parts with ever so slightly which looks awesome (intentional or not)

Well remembered on the MP5 thread, that was atleast a year ago now! That's the look I was going for. Never did find out how they were done, I suspect some kind of airbrushing though. If you look there is darker areas around the bumps to create shadowing.

If I could get that end result - I'd be chuffed :D

Mine is techically Khaki, although it is darker than it comes out in the pictures on here. The ones there almost have an orange tinge to them.....hmmm!

I should get some more depth to mine one they been out, areas around the mag catch, sling loop and fire sector will start to wear off a little - give it that used look :D
