Having tested them, they feed fine and fit in m4 mag pouches relatively well

Can you explain or point me in a good direction to start building a GBB from real steel parts? What can be used besides the uppers and stock assembly? I have a great deal of real steel parts laying around and I'd love to have a replica of my m4 for training purposes.

GasGuns.info is where we'll point you. If you want maximum RS compatibility, you want a Inokatsu/PRIME/Viper WA spec donor, which will accept the upper receiver, delta ring assembly, FSB, gas tube, pistol grip assembly, trigger guard, receiver extension, castle nut, stock, and various pins, springs and detents.
