This is my G&G M14, it comes in a horrible brown colour which i have sanded off totally and its had 5 coats of wood stain on the stock which gives this result. Externally my only plan is to paint the heat guard black. Internally she is getting totally tricked out, i shall post some photos and a video when its all done:

Stain? I've got a new G&G walnut stock arriving soon (fingers crossed) and was told to sand it and linseed oil it. Any steps you'd recommend?

Definitely linseed oil rather than stain.. just rub it in with an old rag, do that a couple of times and you'll have a really nice finish!

I did consider that option but the wood wasn't the best quality and i wanted to give it a mahogany look to it. As for steps just remember to use finer grades of sandpaper, my final sanding was done with 1200 grit sandpaper.

Finally got this Cyma M14 how I like it.
Stock internals, may dmr it a a later date.

It looks like your scope is a short dot that's on back-to-front. What sort is it really?

4x32 compact crosshair bought off here
Prefer compact scopes and with the aimpoint mount it fits better

What's the performance like on stock Cyma 14s?
I've got one on route as tbh they are a fantastic price.
Let's face it, Cyma AKs are brilliant, hoping this is the same.

A couple of guys I've spoken to who have them had problems with the stock hop, changing rubbers seemed to sort it for them.
