Orange powder? Whereabouts on the butt pad is that mate? Ive had 3 of them and never noticed that!

He means, I believe, the EMags with dual windows, as opposed to just one on the left side.
And regarding the orange powder, I got something similar about my butt pad when i first got it, and mine certainly wasnt ever two tone. I can only imagine it is a reaction between the rubber and something, since it seemed to happen most about the screw heads. Mine is a Star, not an AA, which would suggest its due to use of materials together rather than an issue specific to the brand, how gooda nick is yours in?
When I got mine it was a tad rusty and the orange powder might have been that. I have given it a good clean and got rid of the rust though and the powder wiped away never to return.

Just got an Ares/Star L85A2 carbine (ok, not totally correct, I know) with RIS + SUSAT. Just need some Green Label Emags to make it to these shores, and my lipo to arrive and I'm set!
Goes by the callsign "Iceman" to avoid confusion with the entire Delta team...

Can you fit a ris to a carbine? I thought the sling mount/gas block was in a different place?
And good news on the mags, if I hadn't just bought 6 single window ones
(... Guess they'll have to do for a time.

Just got back from work and found mine, very pleased with it - getting closer having my A2 finished, looks great with the cantilever, the rest is just details...
