I think the amount of work required would be prohibitive. For my BD inspired carbine I just used a SOCOM with a 10.5" barrel and XM flash hider (it's on the previous page). The rifle he uses in the film has an A2 upper.

I want to make a blood diamond car 15 out of a TM Recoil, but so far havent been able to find any aftermarket VN recievers, which I'll be honest surprises me!

They don't exist; I don't know why aftermarket support for Recoil Shock receivers is so poor, but it is. As far as I know the only aftermarket uppers you can get for Recoil Shock AR-15s are modern flat-tops from ARS at colossal expense. However, I have heard that with modification G&P upper receivers can be fitted to Recoil Shocks. I've not seen it done but that might give you something to go on.

Cheers buddy. I'll look into the G&P reciever idea. I really fancy a blood diamond car-15, but swore to myself that I'd never buy another M4 unless it was a TM recoil shock!

G&P receivers as far as I'm aware would be an utter nightmare to fit. B.E.N is the man to talk to about modifying receivers- think I remember him saying that classic army blowback receivers could be made to fit but alas, there are no fixed carry handle versions of those either. I did see on here someone grafted a removable carry handle to their flat top but unless it was permanently bolted and reinforced I wouldn't trust it.

Here's my TM SCAR L RECOIL SHOCK with Elcan Dr Spectre x 4, just need to add an EGLM for it and change the flash hider. Oh and find some more recoil Pmags in FDE lol.

Looking at finally getting myself a TM Recoil. Out of all the models out there, which would you say performs the best? I was looking at the G36k, but the Socom and the Scar also appeal to me.
