Wasn't that impressed with my scar's ootb performance, have since stripped the gearbox and am in the process of replacing a lot of the parts with zci equivalents + MOSFET etc. Airseal on the stock piston is shite as well.. Still like the gun though, has some nice features and the external quality is good.

you must have had a lemon , not had any issues with airseal on the pistons/piston head set up's with the guns on site ( m4's scars and acr's ) the hop rubber is my first port of call as an upgrade out the box as well as the changing the pinion head on the motor

Yeah swapped it out with a g&g green on mine, is the pinion that bad? One of the few things I've not changed..

I only change the pinion over it not meshing with the stock gears fully giving it that screech , we found the maple leaf to a good rubber for it as well

Went with the Tan version of the long barrel. And on the plus side as I've been waiting for 3 months in total I will be getting the new model with the FN Herstal trades on

What pinion did you use to replace it? The screech is pretty bad, my only negative with the rifle.

All depends what i have in the parts bin at the time , I just match the pinion with the bevel but have found G&P ( i know made of cheese ) and lonex to improve it

take the silly silencer off or at least the barrel extension so the silencer hides the barrel

does not mean you cant get them , the trades I have seen are : scar's both aeg and GBB , m4a1 aeg/ gbb , acr aeg , l119 gbb
