Re: What do you do when you move to a new cover?
their are a lot of communication techniques shouting, radio,s hand signals
and these all work , but if you don,t no what they mean your stuffed.
i have seen somewere.[if i locate it i wil post/unless someone else can]
the basic commands to follow/use .
the army etc use these to great affect,
move to next cover is basicaly move either forward or back to the next
possable safe place which is in cover,to protect yourself, then, you can cover your team mates who then do the same and so on.
leap froggong to your objective.yer a good tip is to reload when and were possable.
you never no .!

Reload, get someone to cover and run very fast in a straight line, then cover your mate behind you as he moves to you. Dont go in a serpentine fashion (points to those who get that
)!

And look like a noob.
Aim and make your shots count, even when retreating.

Re: What do you do when you move to a new cover?
Utrinque its a quote from Generation Kill... the reporter tries bobbing and weaving from a sniper across a street whereas the marines run in a straight line and tell him to do the same... he'll live longer.
Moving in a wiggly line means you take longer to get there, and give more people more chance of hitting you. Its fairly difficult to actually properly lead targets at any sort of range in airsoft so if you go flat out in a straight line you stand a better chance of making cover.
Edit: Rockinrobin, you appear to have used a double o accidentally there

when retreating,
i always like to run like a girl and fall over a tree.
or get completely laced up.
or mostly, both at the same time.

Yell "release MISHA" down the radio comms.
Then wait for aeviv to do his thing.
Then move up in safety :P
Seriously though, get some covering fire, then move quickly, and listen/feel intently for any incoming hits whilst I go. It's amazing how difficult it is to feel them when you're on the move and not concentrating.
