I think if you can sort it without any physical interaction then both parties can go away happy and not feel robbed,TBH most of the times it's new players not able to comprehend different ranges and such,we should be able to interact without handbags at dawn..
I'm not saying people should try to sort it out themselves in a mature manner but sometimes thats not possible or its not a simple misunderstanding and is blatant cheating. People should be able to interact wiht each other but we all know that some are better than others and a lot of people probably can't be asred with conflict on a day they're meant to be enjoying
All I'm saying is that this thread does serve a purpose

I totally agree,I didn't post to disagree just cast my opinion,as you said it could get messy but that would take seconds to forsee based on the reaction of the "opposition",I'm looking at misunderstandings not blatant cheating....cheats are going to cheat..

Sorry but you don't really get to backtrack and declare you'll make him 'wear his shotgun as a thong' now after slagging him off for very little reason in public. Have you actually been to a T1 game before? There is tons of gloating and good natured banter between red force and blue force, before during and after games. He actually went looking for you to apologize and have a laugh with you about it but you'd already thrown your toys out of the pram and gone home.
He really isn't hard to find- you could have messaged him already instead of slagging off him and his play style. Pretty pathetic really.
Surely this is a forum for people to express there opinion ? And now when the fella tried to apologise after he found at all the facts, you act like an arse hat.
Big difference between banter and insults and I would have probably responded the same, but with the exception of shoving the shotgun where the sun don't shine.
Still the positive about this thread is it reinforces the reasons why I don't attend Tier 1 events

I have heard more bad reviews than good reviews from a wide range of airsofters. I have attended several Stirling events and spoken with others about Tier 1 and nothing good has been said.
Alledgely if your not in with the Tier 1 command team you pretty much get the dirty end of the stick, I understand the milsim element of these events but not sticking to the theme and not turning people over is not Milsim.
In the spirit of fairness I have been to a Stirling event that didn't deliver the normal high standards. But this was more to dop with the players and not entirely Stirlings fault
Please be aware that this is my opinion and it may differ from others but I don't give a crap!!

I've refrained from posting on this thread for 20 pages (I know, I can't believe it myself), but I just wanted to congratulate this guy. Refreshing honesty is the new black.

Hang on... "I'd like opinions on an event but I already have my opinion and I don't give a crap..."
I think it's safe to say you won't get on at a Tier 1 game. Perhaps don't bother going.

When did I say I like opinions on an event!?
I was just expressing MY opinion on the Milsim / Organiser element of this thread.
And you are correct I won't be going to any Tier 1 event any time soon.
Again to be fair I will also not attending any Stirling events for a while ( too bloody expensive for what is essentially tabbing round a hot/cold/wet MOD site and probably shooting 12 bb's)
Ta ta for now

Re: tw@t's on the field ..
I'm just wondering how a dispute involving a grand total of THREE people out of 120+ players that attended the T1 event in question and had a superb time at a game that almost everyone attending really enjoyed that raised hundreds of pounds for charity, somehow translates as 'OMG T1 are bad'? Why not try it before you slag something off? Why do Stirling get the benefit of the doubt because of bad players, but T1 don't?
I haven't been but Dave (my mate mentioned above) has nothing to do with the Tier 1 team and he's done over half a dozen events, with quite a few important taskings- he was even a major blue objective in the last game! He's thoroughly enjoyed them even when things don't go according to plan (including a blizzard, which T1 even refunded him for despite the weather being totally out of their control). He tried T1 originally as he was fed up with Stirling's catterick games, which apparently was just the same old skirmish 'hold the building' game over and over with a shovelload of teflon players, while the Stirling team ran around clearing empty buildings with a cameraman in tow (just an opinion). I'd recommend you give T1 a go for yourself before passing judgement.
With both T1 and Stirling though, got to say there has to be an element of 'they know you' before they start handing out the specialist taskings. You don't want to give some unknown quantity a role that's vital to the game's overall structure and scenario then they get fed up because it's cold and raining and bugger off half way through- especially when pyro start getting involved.
Honestly, there's so much bitching and rumour in airsoft I have to say, try somewhere before you write them off.

I would disagree with you Hawke personally.
Although there have been a few cases of keyboard fights its far better they're on here rather than in real life were someone will either get hurt or sued for assault.
This thread gives people a vent and probably makes them far less likely to do something stupid in real life and start mouthing off to people is they know they can do it here. Also its probably fairly helpful for less confident players who can see how to handle these situations in a game.
I am not saying this thread is an alternative to talking to the site/marshalls about issues but on a few posts here it seems the marshalls have done little about it and so it give the person affected somewhere to vent where they are not going to hurt anyone
Disagree with me, eh? Outside, now.
I'd rather people spoke to each other, rationally, maturely and with respect before coming onto a forum and making accusations. Spoken word is always a better option. AT NO POINT is violence an answer, which I would never advocate.

Edited to add. This is a pointless discussion. Because all it is showing is that some people will let a moment of daftness fester and grow. Let it go. If you are still annoyed about a slight, real or perceived, when you get home after a game, perhaps airsoft isn't for you.
Remember. it's. not. real.

Violence
could
be the answer if you were in a pub quiz and were asked what the premise of that Edwin Starr (Saw him in concert once, very good) classic "WAR" is about.
The answer could also be "Absolutely nothing (Say it again)" though that's debatable.
