USMC Force Recon, 1st attempt at a loadout

      Hi,

I'm still quite new to this but I've managed to get a few bits together, mostly from the online internet marketplace but some other bits I had anyway like the boots, this is in no way supposed to be an exact replica so please don't hammer me too much!

The Oakley goggles are just for show as it's they aren't saftey rated, I just had a pair kncking about but I have got some clear Bolle specs for skirmishing.

One thing I'm not sure about is the placement of the dump pouch, the jacket hangs down below the belt line so I have to kind of hitch the jacket up over the top, is this correct or should I have a belt mounted OVER the jacket?

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated but as I say please don't hammer me, it's just a start!

just tuck the jacket in mate, looks good so far, should get a marpat helmet cover and coyote tan boots, there will be no shortage of people on here willing to point you in the right direction

force recon dont wear marpat helmet covers , sprayed helmet is so much more common
what you want from there is a safariland for your meu or m9 pistol , more fsbe2 gear to your choice , a nice riggers belt , some sordins for commo norotos NV mount and boots of your choice , although hikers are more common now

Make sure its a 3 hole norotos mount. Marines have to wear boots that have the EGA stamp, so theres an official list of boots Marines can wear, but for the sake of this impression you could get away with a pair of desert boots, hiking boots aren't so common with Marines.
Could do with a MOLLE belt, try the Flyye right angled belt. The thing with the helmet cover is it would have to be an FSBE helmet cover if you put an NVG mount on it, good luck finding one of those or affording one when you find one, so as Murta says, just spray paint it. Personally I always had my dump pouch hanging behind me rather than on my front/side.
                  Looks good though buddy.

Cheers for the input guys, what colour do you think I should spray it? I thought it was already olive drab, will it need another coat or something?
I like the colours on the first picture on ths link but I can't work out what colour it actually is!

Looks like black with a light dusting of CB or tan paint.

That's do-able, I could undercoat it with black and get some coyote for the top coat, couldn't find a helmet in coyote brown but this one was a good price, just ordered the Flyye belt and a double frag pouch ;-)

It's not finished yet but what would you do differently then? It's the right camo and vest colours etc, as I say it's not done yet so there are still accessories to come

Tan boots is a must and you need to do something with the helmet as already said, and a leg rig with a pistol. I know it's WIP, so keep going, but at the moment it's just 'airsofter in MARPAT'
