Yep. But baffled why he's saying "for combat" and "for airsoft".
Any opinions expressed by me may not be mine. I don't have opinions anymore. I have a mortgage and teenagers. I used to be a wild, party animal. Now I buy my trousers at M & S.

Hope he doesn't get them confused at the wrong moment then. Could look foolish throwing 0.2g of plastic doom at the Taliban.

Ive never saluted an ACF grunter. They dont do enough to deserve the respect.
Well they DO hold a TA type B commission. I know this from experience of getting agai'd for not saluting the creach. ACF officers hold substantive 2Lt but can be acting up to Colonel I think.

Please read above links before refusing to salute a commissioned officer (albeit ACF, but they still hold a Queens commission which on attestation we swear allegience to). Just because we dont like rules and regs it doesnt mean which ones we can choose to ignore.

Never once did I salute them.
Never once did I get picked up for not saluting.
In fact I have seen a couple being ripped apart by a real serving officer for demanding to be saluted.

Have you even read the links?

TA type B commission if you want to google it. Whether we like it or not theyre commissioned, so should be saluted if you come across them and addressed as sir like we do to our own officers.

Well. It seems its a forces wide issue then.
12 years and not once did I see an ACF 'officer' saluted.

Lads, lads... back on track please.

MTP. Wearing it turns you into a super duper elite fighting steely eyed tactical god and dealer of death.

Or it just means you're wearing stolen goods.

Perhaps because some units are slack and dont give a crap about standards. Its about representing the cap badge we wear and the reputation of our regiment. A commission is a commission at the end of the day. Even crab air have to get saluted

Depends really, watching bandsmen wear pcs makes them look even more ridiculous than in 95s.

Handling stolen goods depending on source however its less likely mdp will visit you now.

I was a LC rating. We wore black wellies and wooly hats. We were the most unmilitary men in the world.

If you wore the submariner type jumper that could have been perceived as rather ally

What, a sumnariners jersey, under a windproof, lightweights and black Dunlop wellies? Yep. We also, to a man, had massive taches. We didn't look like Captain Price. He looked like us. LC's are a purely RM Specialisation. And we definitely put the "special" in Specialisation

Just seen that, you may note its a posed picture as well.
Unfortunately it would have been 'you will wear that' and the fact they were probably just gone off watch upper deck sentries, command loves to ping watch keepers in their offwatch for toilet like that.
