The scary thing is, I am rather tempted by one of these.

Any idea when it'll be out? I take it it's a ver 2 gearbox?

Well the hurricane version used a V2 gearbox, so if this is a copy, then I assume it will also use V2, no idea about the release date.

The question is; is it an accurate replica? Not from what I've seen. Looks like a poor cousin of the SocomGear (of which it isn't a 'copy')...

Pah, not really worth getting then. Even the M99 isn't accurate, considering it isn't mag fed.

I did see something similar Panoptes, I can't remember where I saw it, but a guy in America had one, said it was pretty bad, but honestly, what should you expect for $350?

Re: Chinese Barrett M82 (Socomgear Copy)

I just received a snow wolf M99 which turned out to have a miss cast & cracked outer barrel, trigger issues, magazine feed issues and safety catch issues all of which make it totally unusable. The stupid thing is that I sprayed it before really testing it properly or inspecting the insides in prep for a skirmish the next day.
Anyway when I enquired about returning it or getting replacement parts I was told that the company that made it were no longer in business, which makes the prospect of a cheap M82 clone unlikely unless its been taken over by another factory.

                    Edit to last post:

Just re read email and he said factory was closed - not shut or out of business so I might have given miss leading information, sorry.

Yes Rampage and TKOS flew to china and infiltrated the Snow Wolf(JG) R&D department and went a little silly with the petrol and matches

It has been released. Currently available at a US based store, Air (followed by the sound of paint hitting you). Its only a matter of time before they trickle into the Asia distributers and UK retailers.
