you do realise these guns all fire 6mm ammo at around 1joule? dont you?

in the ******* ***** its 90% looks (imo) and people seem to like the look of the deagle

my 1911 real steel counterpart holds 7 rounds, 8 if you chamber 1 round,yet my airsoft version takes around 20

so to say it doesnt make sense for anyone here to take a gun that in real life is heavy and has a low ammo capacity is a very strange thing to bring up

Nah not paticularily... the lenses are very thick, and its only used at night from a very long way away.. if someone is lucky enough to spot me the round wouldnt hit the optic with any great force

So, I can't think of any situation where a Desert Eagle would be a good choice of sidearm. That said, I like that the angents use it in the Matrix. Suits them I think.

Thought they were for hunting or something? Or is it that people just use them for hunting..? Because they are powerful enough to like take down bears in one shot. Could be wrong though!

In airsoft there are actually a few advantages to the deagle. For one thing, they have good hops in them, and I know from personal experience, and from other users' stories, you can get fantastic range out of them. (I know you can from other pistols that are smaller and lighter, but it's just one advantage of a desert eagle in general terms.) I am also led to believe that compared to smaller pistols they have a very large gas reservoir, which means you can fire more bbs without having to re-gas

if you look at the pics the lense on the right dont seem like it could take much of a beating and why is there protective lense covers on sale for 551 and 552 ? answer that smart arse

Guessing you meant to quote me on that one...

airsoft eotechs arent designed to be used on .308 calibre rifles, the scope and all its components are rated to be used on a rifle with up to 6000 Joules of power.

and to add to that, Eotechs are CQB optics, not a 4.5x low FOV riflesight. i dont engage below 40m with the rifle, and when im not aiming at someone the lens cover is down.

yeah i no about the 551's mate i was just trying to explain that theres a protective cover thats on the market for 551's so the lense dont get cracked
and the fact that yours is a real item not intended just for airsoft
ps anything is possible on the skermish field if so 1 wants to get close they will
is it a gen 3 sight and have a look at the stars with it looks fantastic through 1 of them

Well said Waltz In airsoft, the TM Desert Eagle is a good gun. Even though the size remains the same, the right holster can get rid of that problem. I used to use a S&W M500 as a sidearm sometimes instead of my Desert Eagle, having a shoulder holster makes it easy to use and quick to draw too.

In real life I agree they're very impractical. Desert Eagles are hunting sidearms and that's pretty much all there is to it, unless you're battling people with steel armour :P

i could be wrong but i thought it was developed by the Israeli army for quick close assassinations since there's not much escape from the bullet those things chuck out also it would go through vehicles if it needs to
