Looks nice. I'd get a Scar-H if I didn't have to buy all the new mags. Good thing about my Scar-L is that it runs on my M4 mags of course.

Polski at least realised that MW2 isn't the holy grail and that he might be wrong about what he says. respec' fo that. It's the ones that think they know everything about the military just because they are teh l33ts on xbox with their antique pirate pistol with thermal sight, underslung shotgun and tactical dildo that annoy me.

This is unfortunately the problem with a reasonably physical male-dominated game based around the idea of military roleplaying. There's a lot of swaggering machismo and armchair SAS guys.

This is also why we need more women playing, nothing more humbling to the swaggering alpha male ego than to be beaten soundly at your own game by a girl :D

Welcome to knowing ginger chris. :P

And yes, I was taking the mick out of those types of people. Most people, here included, seem to be proud of ripping on mw2, and people who know gun models and camoflagues by playing a popular video game that is essentially hours of gun porn.

They then post a thread about how they're doing a US marine loadout based on some film or another, but of course that's ok because of some arbitary reason no one can ever explain.

I just don't get how it's perfectly ok to sit on the internet or watch a film and learn gun models and unit names from that, but if someone mentions they know the same thing from playing the most popular video game ever that's not ok for some reason.

(I was also using text speak because no one on here ever bothers with punctuation or spelling and it's a nightmare to try and read)

This is probably getting a bit off topic but I don't have any guns to post.

Well if we look at the accuracy of MW1 (US Marine Force Recon) and say, Generation Kill, I know which I would deem more accurate.

There are alot of games that are VERY inaccurate, MW1 and 2 are top of he list. This is because complete realism doesn't always make the best (or in their case mediocre) games.

If you want reference material the you need to find real images of the loadout you want to emulate. Not Images dragged from a game that is completely fictitious in almost every respect.

Besides, who cares if someone dresses up as a fictitious soldier? Loads of people have 'inspired' loadouts because they can't afford the £800 mutlicam chest rig, does it make you somehow a 'better' player or a better person if you choose to exactly emulate a real world unit? No, it doesn't, it just makes you seem completely insufferable in the safe zone when you start questioning the authenticity of people's kneepads.

Games are inaccurate, who cares. OP Flashpoint, Dragon Rising was probably one of the more 'realistic' FPS's to come out recently and it was dull, confusing and hard to play as a result.

Whereas yes, my kit is roughly based on a bearded dude who got dropped into russia by missile pod in the 60s to fight vampires and guys who could control bees. Clearly it makes me a rubbish player.
