Re: Kalashnikovs
Wrong, RedHawk. It is in fact a Zenit mount meant for the Vityaz submachine gun on which the kobra sits.

In all fairness from the angle you posted there was no actual way of telling... The thing about weaver rails is that they're all *shock* the same! Could just've been another ASG mount.

Re: Kalashnikovs
Just thought I'd let you know, RedHawk.
Real-Steel mounts are balls-to-the-wall awesome (I have two), if you can find or afford them and if the AEG manufacturer went to the length of making the mount the correct dimension.
Every airsoft-made one I had was terrible, and I've had many.

Re: Kalashnikovs
This ASG one I have is okay, I snapped the quick release lever on it and had to file down the rail for my RS optic to fit on, but it's secure with a nut and bolt now. That Zenitco mount is orgasmic but not sure if it's a bit tacticool for the look I'm going for, I like the 'old school optic held on with scaffolding Russian-style' look, otherwise known as the 'fcuk you Magpul' look.
Sent from a phone because I cba to fire up my poota.

Re: Kalashnikovs
Brand new Beryl handguard arrived today from the land of Poland for my Daytona, I figured I wanted something a little different to the usual AK handguards and it fits what I wanted perfectly.
Thanks very much to RedHawk for helping me find it!

Yeah its brilliant, I don't think I'd ever considder going back to an AEG or GBB after getting a Daytona - It does everything a GBB rifle does without the usual crap of having to gas up mags and the FPS being all over the place in the winter. If you're looking at getting a HPA gun its a nice alternative to a P* if you want something a bit different and a lot more reliable than an Escort system.

Re: Kalashnikovs
Yeah, I'm not completely sold on the P*, I wouldn't want to be on the receiving end of one but all the same the realistic action of the Daytonagun appeals to me more.
If I were to go down the support gun route I think I would have to whack their M249 mech inside a cheapo A&K shell.
