Yes .If you bothered to go onto the UKARA website it would have given you the answer.
BUT!! Its only legal if no money (NO ANYTHING!!) switches hands. It has to be simply gift .

Also pureairsoft11, you CANNOT give your dad a hug after hes buys the gun for you, that counts as payment.

                    Re: UKARA question

Why are you so bothered about getting a RIF? if your dad genuinely wanted to get into airsoft, then fair enough but just getting him to go to 3 games ( then possibly never again) purely because you want a RIF is a little bit selfish and cheapens the UKARA system if I'm honest :/

But like I said, if it's something he actually wants to start and continue playing with you then that's okay I guess.

                      Woh nelly!

I thought you already owned guns?!
Your other thread goes on about GBBR mags and I quote "I nearly froze my hand off",
Or is it a 2tone GBB?
section 24 of the 1968 Act

1)It is an offence for a person under the age of eighteen to purchase an imitation firearm
2)It is an offence to sell an imitation firearm to a person under the age of eighteen.

What does that matter? Owning RIFs isn't restricted, and he could have borrowed one.

                              Ermm no its not.
Anyone can own a RIF. Lets say a 19 year old lad buys a nice RIF MP5 (with a valid defense) and gives it to his 12 year old brother.
That 12 year old can legally own that RIF with no restrictions what so ever and no laws have been broken .
