haha thought it might perk you all up :D

it surprisingly didn't hurt at all but all the poisoned blood smelled pretty bad. For about 3-4 weeks it was full of yellow goo which was treated with silver to draw out the poison. Thats one of the reasons the hole got bigger after the pictures were taken.
Once the poison was mostly out it bled constantly for about 2-3 weeks while the leg was treated by a specialist to get the flesh to grow again. After a while it did and then because there was no skin to keep the new stuff flat, it started to overgranulate meaning it woudl grow out of the hole further than it should. They then used zinc paste to flatten it out and put the compression bandage on.

After a couple of circulation ultrasounds and the bandage being on for a few months it was healed. Nice scar now though and it will be fairly fragile forever. Means I can't put my leg under too much pressure such as scuba diving etc.

They tell scare stories about you there,

I was trying a flanking manouver and as im sure your aware all, the ground with the goo looks exactly the same, i ran in to it full speed, my momentum took me right in, took 15mins to get out

I had a small cut on my leg from day before, so went to doctors and got course of anti biotics,

and cut itched for weeks

Yup, I got antibiotics too but they never worked. Apparently there is a little bug in the water that lives without oxygen and that was what got into the wound.

We dissected a pigs eye in a science class the other day.... really not a pretty sight. Plenty of black goo too :p

My worst was at my local site, Ambush Wargames Eversley, site alpha. If you've been there you might be familiar with the road game at the end where the teams start at opposite ends and have to get up the path (about 2 metres wide at most with bushes either side), basically just a magazine-emptying round.

So I was in the bushes on one side of the road being where I'd litterally run down the path and dived in to the bush (so the kamikaze approach :P) and I thought I'd go across the path and go in to the bushes on the other side, only half way over the path I tripped and did a sort of 180 degree spin, landing on my head - that landed on a tree stump. I was in a complete daze and I just got up again and started walking towards the marshall up the path with team mates firing down at me. At this point, I had no eye protection on because it had fallen off but I was so concust I didn't realise. Ended up at hospital to have 5 stitches in the top of my head. Could have been a lot worse had one bb made its way to my face though.

Christ... Utorak you are sooo lucky. Big all, that wound is so grot... it looks worse than the time my road rash got infected :x (which was disgusting)

Plently of newbs could do with giving this thread a read. I get the feeling so feel like it'll never happen to them.

An almost injury here... tale of stupidity. A friend of mine was doing CQB and he heard a noise behind him, so he whipped round and found himself with his gun pointed directly at this 13 year olds unprotected face.
He was so fked off he'd almost shot this idiot in the face he punched him instead.

Saw a guy the other week with a line of BB holes going up his face, the ones on his forehead where bleeding quite badly. Some guy had stuck his gun around a barricade and sprayed blind fire... the guys face was a few inches away.
Shame he wasn't wearing full face.

oh aye, seen plenty of missing teeth and BB's lodged in lips and ears etc. too....full face masks are there for a reason :P

A while back, someone got a bb stuck in his upper lip. It was removed with tweasers, must of been very painfull.
