It also makes it easyier as TLSFX make specific mortar rounds.

He has a mortar too. He was wondering if they would launch from the revolving launcher or not.

Re: Thermobaric grenade launching from a Revolving launcher
Very well. When they were at Catterick he managed to launch it over a building and through a window where a sniper had everyone pinned down. They're perfectly safe to use as long as you don't shoot them at point blank range. They don't get that hot either, it's the initial fuse and ignition where the most heat comes from but it's so quick that it doesn't stay hot for that long.

Re: Thermobaric grenade launching from a Revolving launcher
Mortars are great fun. We have some being made as we speak hopefully. A new team member can weld...yippeee another has some scaff tube... That's almost job done...They are like a thermo with a long delay between the first bang and the second.
I was thinking about trying some of them from a 203, then decided it would not be one of my better descissions this year...I think the tube needs to be completly sealed or you may well get scorched. So not impossible but just need a dummy 203.

Re: Thermobaric grenade launching from a Revolving launcher
You could adapt an existing M203 with an inner "barrel" that the smoke slides down. Might take some effort but it would be cool.

Re: Thermobaric grenade launching from a Revolving launcher
I think the second video is a perfect demonstration of why you should not attempt to launch a thermobaric from a revolving launcher :P

That's pretty funny, bit of a nob turning the launcher round to have a look down the barrel in the second one though!

Re: Thermobaric grenade launching from a Revolving launcher
they do work better from a UGL of the HK variety though, better seal on the action (slides in and locks).
We've been using Mortars at Cerberus since TSLFX started producing them, though with two people "manning" them you can get a decent rate of fire down with them, though it would be wise if anyones using them a lot to wear ear defenders and the person holding the tube to wear some gloves as they do get rather warm and loud...
Opinions are like ar**holes, everyone has one.
Usually found being very unimpressed by a lot of players, but gets a pleasant surprise when they actually have a clue on a game day.

Re: Thermobaric grenade launching from a Revolving launcher
I might have a see about making one. They look like they would be quite fun in games (if used correctly) and rather effective. Do they just use pyros or do you need the actuall 40mm Grenades aswell?

Re: Thermobaric grenade launching from a Revolving launcher
You don't need 40mm grenades for the mortar thermobarics, just be wiery they are bloody loud when they go off.
