  • Re: ARU Police loadout

@Westy - Yes mate. LMTs have been documented with, as Leadmill said, BTP and are becoming more popular around the country.

Looking at either a spanking new LMT, or just policing the M4 up a bit.

Will put up a few updated pics once my new bits of kit have arrived. Still on the browse for a taser replica though!!

West mids use sig 226's for standard pistol. Re: my loadout the trousers are 5.11 lightwieght trousers which are being 'unofficially' worn by many afo's and specialist police departments. The taser is a red gun rubber one lovingly handpainted by yours truly!

Interestingly, you know the siege in Tottenham court road last week? Some VERY nice kit there.
You seemed to have the rank & file armed police, in their blues with Mp5s + G36s.
THEN you had another unit, possibly CRW or something...
They had M4 variants, wore jeans with small molle plate carriers. One guy was carrying 3 pistols on him. They actually looked like MBSS vests, but that is probably just me being silly.

              Quite impressive, wasn't it?

London is an entirely different kettle of fish in terms of policing and police units.

It's a shame we have to have such units like in the photo's to deal with terrorism threats / hostage situations ect.

But it shows we are prepared I suppose, and how well the services work together when shit hits the fan.

              This photo here I like:

                Sorry fellas!

It was infact a USP I saw and NOT a MK.23.

Quite difficult to tell the difference when it's holstered

Well they're the same family and as said, holstered weapons always make things challenging. Still an interesting development, though one I like.

Thats quite interesting seeing some of those pics on the daily fail, armed police in civvies, 3 hole "IRA" ski masks etc.

And using the G3-SG1 was a bit of a surprise, not sure why... i just expected something else, no idea what, L96 perhaps?

I'm keeping an eye on some stuff... if the mood strikes I may go ahead and purchase said stuff... but need to finish my Auscam first... although Police kit is so nice!
