              sam, play nice.

Sam's a bit more blunt that i am.

Its not cowboy in the slightest, At Spec ops you cheat once your off the site for 6 months with that your are allso banned from other sites as well CS, UCAP, UA irrc. (it has been a long time since this has happened.)

Like i said in my post earlier thats how all of the players play, you shoot some one nuff said dead, bang kill = waste of time.

i would like to point out that sam, wouldn't actually shoot any one in the head close range (say around 15/20m) he drops to his side arm religiously.

to round this post up Im saying this, you pay to be assaulted with plastic bb's man up and take it. if not find a different hobby, play honest, be nice and karma will deal the rest of the cards.

                Re: Sportsmanship and Airsoft

As has been said, theres one thing shooting people, another is deliberately shooting in an area that causes more pain, and more angry confrontations on the field than anywhere else... Dont be a twat and have fun...Do you think people think you're more 'l33t' because you can headshot? aw, your mummy must be proud...

And no, you dont pay to be shot. you pay to play the game, shooting is a byproduct, we dont have to make this about hurting eachother.... its about having fun.

                  Re: Sportsmanship and Airsoft

ok let me rephrase that, you play a game using RIFs and a high likely hood that you will that you will meet a plasticky death, in wich pain will issue, yes there is a high likly hood that you will get shot in the face/head, not to the fault of the shooter but probably the hopup and the spread of shots coming at you in a full automatic fashion, your going to get hit in the head regardless. so you might as-well suck it up and have it as the possibility that its going to happen. admittedly sam's a plank for posting stupid comments, but what my point is still valid, you pay to get shot at, the adrenaline and fun come as bi product of getting the other people before there bb gets you. if it hits you in the head fare game ( i don't condone head shots unless its a reason such as they are behind cover and i can see there head poping up) befor you get me wrong.

so we agree that its fine if its all you can see... I just have a problem with people SPECIFICALLY going for the head... over any other area...

Agreed, what dose my nut in more than that is people using full auto because they *think* they hit the target, as there have been many cases of over kill. evan when the player has said hit.

I don't do head shots unless the head is all I can see. I think is it is not being a good sport.
The game is about having a good time not about how much pain you can inflict on other players. Many a punch up has been caused by an unnecessary head shoot.

So Don't do it. It not about being macho or I can take it attitude, it's about fair play.

I also strongly agree. It's indeed bad sportsmanship to deliberately go for headshots.

However, if the you oppo is only presenting a his/her head then your'e likely to be at a reasonable engagement distance and so you play the game and try to take out the oppo.

The very first hit I took in airsoft was dead middle of my temple and left a nice red welk. It kinda disturbed me- felt like I was picked on :-(

I dont get how people are saying that head shots at there site have casued arguements or even punch ups. Fair enough it may be seen as unsportsman like to some but it is still part of the game.

If someone manages to hit you in the head I cant see how you can complain as it will be a lot harder to get a head shot then to hit the torso. You must either be sitting right out in the open or just not have a clue if you give someone time to line up a clean shoot to the head.

I would have much more of an issue with someone willing to start a fight over getting hit in the head then someone purposley taking head shots as they clearly dont have the right attitude to play the game. Getting hit is part of the game, unless your site has specific rules then you have to be willing to accept a hit anywhere and not complain.

Also agree. We all turn up at events where we all consent to being shot at. Stray shots, difficult shots and sometimes bad shots can or often will result in hits on the head.

If people start losing it because they got a hit on the head then, that is in itself a form of bad sportsmanship and they should be in some other sport. I know we're all human but we need to execise self-control and manage any anger. But, full auto for more than a fraction of a second is pushing the boundary of reasonable.

I once had a full auto burst for at least 3 seonds on my head- just because the idiot could not hear me shout hit. It took a lot to hold it in and approache a Marshall who was all out to kick the guy off the site. Unfortunately no one owned up.

If you strongly beleive someone is deliberately and/or needlessly going for headshots in contravention of site guidelines (i.e. avoid headshots where possible) then raise it with a Marshall. It does tend to ruin it a little (or sometimes a lot) for others when grown ups start arguing like some street kids playing soldeirs with the woolworths budget toy guns.

When a guy wearing only glasses took one of the ACM M500 gas shotgun that fire 5 BB's at 320ish to the face in a CQB game I was in he got pretty angry and the game had to stop whilst the marshells calmed him down. Whilst I see his point that it wasn't pleasent and probably not called for, had he been wearing a full face or protection probably woulnd't have been such an issue. Sometime in the heat of a game headshots are sometimes accidental.
