Yeah, mainly against AI though, the PvP tank rush doesn't interest me. Probably should take this to PM now though

hm actually im the other way around

i owned my TMP for about a year before the game came out - however whenever i played cod 6 i picked up and used the TMP in game whenever i could

same with the m16

basically i based cod 6 on my airsoft haha

same hear i get out the good old g36c and m9 out :D

This thread both heartens and upsets me.

The worst thing is ive been saving for a year to buy a Mk14 EBR Mod 0 (The M23EBR in CoD6), and now everyone will bloody assume ive bought it because of Call Of Duty.

Paid a fortune for the G&P kit and now people are going to think its off the back of a game. I had the same thing when i bought my M16/M203 last year. Ah well, its still a frankly awesome gun.

and then people say it's a crap gun in real life because aparently its crap on the game?

same thing with my m1 garand, because aparently thats really bad in real life because its the worst gun on the game or something ( please note i have never played call of duty 2,3 or 5. )

I wouldnt worry too much mate, id give my right arm for a VFC BAR. It was one of the shortlist guns when i decided to save for a prestige piece. Narrowly pipped by the Mk14 purely because i already own AEGs and want a sniper. It may well be the next thing i save for now i have a better income. Either that or an Inokatsu M60VN.

As for people saying guns arent that great because of a game, thats just jealousy pure and simple. And utter bunk. Id draw peoples immediate attention to the gross misrepresentation of the M4 in most games compared to the AK47. Sure, it should be more accurate, but it usually has a lot more stopping power too. Which is utter arse.

I bought an Aimpoint after using it in ArmA, which is strange as it's representation isn't brilliant in the game as it can't replicate 2-eyed shooting.

i had a p90 in britain, so i began using it in COD4. i don't like complaining about games or how realistic they are - they're games - but i was disappointed that the p90 essentially became an airsoft gun in the game too. it just did no damage.
in reality, the p90 is an excellent weapon when used correctly, and the marui version was brilliant. excellent hop up, and not bad range.
i think many people buy guns because of COD; it's just a shame they don't buy guns like the p90, because they're crap in the game.

perhaps someone should make an airsoft-based video game that very accurately replicates the performance of different brands of airsoft gun. tm are lightweight, but have excellent gearboxes and hop-up, systema are expensive etc etc.
people could play this, then decide which gun they would like to buy...

COD 1 is the best COD by far. I loved just Rifling it with no Scope. Was the mutts nuts on most maps. Shame no one plays it anymore
