Chinese Barrett M82 (Socomgear Copy)
24 May, 2010, 06:24
Information from Airsoft-news tells us Snow Wolf will be releasing there copy of the SocomGear M82 v2, titled Snow Wolf SN82
Currently available for pre-order, it will soon be trickling onto the usual eastern retailer websites
The image currently has a shops name across it which conflicts with forum rules (Unless a mod allows it?) Im sure the image will appear on 'other forums'
If the price is any reflection of there M99 model i'm certainly putting my name down for one!
Although not depicted, i wonder if it will have trades ?

It's a copy of the Hurricane one, not the SocomGear.

Re: Chinese Barrett M82 (Socomgear Copy)
Is the SocomGear not a copy of the HurricanE kit ? I remember there being discussions about it but nothing confirmed, just that its awesome. Im hopeing this copy will put it more in budget for a bolt action conversion!

Re: Chinese Barrett M82 (Socomgear Copy)
The Socomgear is officially licenced from Barrett so I'd guess that it isn't.

Re: Chinese Barrett M82 (Socomgear Copy)
you know what annoys me
people all ways like
OMG L0L L33T m3h waN tAh ba77ott
when in theroy there gona be out done by bolt actions in the ******* *****
combind with the weight of them
semi auto often heavy and battery powerd = barrett, psg-1, m14 etc = 425 FPS
alowith haveing the problem of the battery running out, and i don't meen throgh use,
the power it takes to pull back that kinda powerd spring, nuf said
single action gas and spring light smaler, = r700, vsr10, l96, = 500fps
with no worry about running out of battery (gas yes) only the worry of ammo

Just because someone wants a barrett doesnt mean they are like " OMG L0L L33T m3h waN tAh ba77ott "
Its an iconic rifle, so surely you can see why it would attract a big audience.

In my eyes the barrett is about as iconic as a mango in syrup....

exactly
no people want it coz no one else has it and it's big.
all i'm saying is the airsoft version theres no point.
people think am bigust am bustest
when actuly no it's not
if we were talking the real thing here fine nuf said
but theres no point
i had a psg-1 systema parts etc
running at 424 +/- 5%
i was geting raped by all sorts
and was actuly out done by a tow-tone l96
i was shocked
so i sold it
for example my ak spetz
running at 268 i keep i can keep the same distance bewtween most snipers
as in i can hit the same distance with less speed granted
and i'n my mind still it need be said
i think only hand full of people includeing my self did not know about this ***legend*** of a weapon till the first MW
i think the only people that would of knowen about it are the the army and stuff
rampage has a barrett
it's very heavy
hard to move it
i had a play with it for 5 mins
then gave up

+1 on that, Plus as per my previous post i would be buying one to perform a bolt action conversion. With the percieved cost of this rifle and a g-spec or l96 as a organ donor you are still saving money over the other branded versions! Plus you can run it at 500fps :p

I'd keep it as a wall-hanger, as other rifles on the market could out-range it; as well as much, MUCH lighter.
Gives that 'I crapped my pants' presence; seeing the look on people's faces! :D

@JMusa, Theres a pic over on UKAZ mate.
The picture would post here but it has branding across it from the italian shop which im aware is breach of forum rules.
and yes, when you say 'original' Barrett im assuming its the m82a1 which we all know and love.
