A D-Boys clone crane I think. I added some self-adhesive 2mm black foam for comfy cheeks! I had to rear-wire it so I could put a battery in the back - and I can't stand PEQs! :D

Oh right cool, was it hard to rewire? as I wanted a barrel mounted M203 but because i have the custom Z1 battery in my M4 and its retracable i wasnt sure where i would put it. But that seems like a better way to do the whole thing.

The rear-wiring was easy enough but I found wiring from there to the battery very 'tight' and awkward. Not impossible but definitely not for someone without good hand skills.

i find it a bit front heavy with a peq and 203!
i think with it in the stock would make it much better!

Yeah I think I'm gonna respray it black. I need to get some metal paints. While we're on the subject of painting, can anyone answer me this question please? If I want to make the rail black, do I do it the same way I would with a plastic rail? E.g: Sand it all down, prime it, then respray it black? Or do I just spray over the ugly tan?

I better get some matte black metal paint from Halfords too. The black paint I have now is for plastics I think.


Edit: Scratch that, it's paint on paint isn't it. Stupid me =/ I'll just spray black on it tomorrow.

i used to (and still sometimes do) do military moddelling and that had tiny tiny metal parts. to be honest anyold enamel paint should be ok with out the need for a primer but what i used to do was use "halfords grey car primer" (halfords own brand). i liked this because it gave a nice thin layer of enamel paint that (if sprayed correctly) would leave an outstanding finish that could then take any clolour, be it white or black and wouldnt show through. but as you say it is onto paint so there is no real need for a primer but i would still give it a gentle rub down with some p180 sandpaper that should give the new layer of paint a better grip.

regarding your m4. looks very nice. i myself am expecting a silencer because i hope to complete my "americas army" sopmod m4 i use on the SF missions (only im not using their kit!). strettman asked a question that i dont think you answered. is your acog G&P?
and if so
i have a question for you.
would you reckomend it over the STAR one?

Oh sorry, my bad. I noticed that but forgot to add it into my recent post.

I don't think it's G&P. It's some cheaper one with an illuminated red crosshair. No optical zoom on it or anything fancy. It's a good sight though If I could find another, I'd buy one for my brother. The black box it came in read 'Mystery' on the front, dunno if that helps.
