its not mate, the barrel has been machined down to the end of the RIS, and re-threaded. its screwed on there mate.

Are 6.01s as prone to jams as much as people say they are?

You wont get jams with 6.01 but IF you dont keep them clean you could suffer from inaccuracy. Trust me im someone who regular brought 6.01 pdi barrels at 120 quid a pop for his own guns so its actual information as opposed to internet information. Its a great quality barrel, you mainly paying for the build quality much the same as the prometheus. It can be an invaluable tool as you can see a 20 FPS increase from a 6.01 verses a 6.03 at 5 - 10 FPS. Now if your 20FPS short your mark.. it could potentially save you money in other areas with that 20FPS boost. That said if your guns 350 fps your only going to make your self more work. One could also argue the benifits from gaining FPS through increased effeciencey VERSE a stronger spring, ie increased battery life etc etc.

They arnt the first choice for many, that would be the prometheus becuase of its similar build quality and more user freidnly bore size. But dispite regular internet gossip they are most definatly still a important upgrade choice dispite there price.. not for all but for some.

Haha, i turned my back on Magpul a while back. A little is nice, a lot is something i tired of quickly.

And i sold up to fund my Systema. Which hopefully i can pick up from being built on saturday. Providing my financial bumhole stops bleeding...
