There's no difference in my mind if you simply collect to appreciate the design/build quality/ethic etc. It's the posing that I simply don't get. "Hey look at me in my "UKSFSASSEALUSAFUSMC loadout/impression - hoo-aah!, I iz speciul" Impression? Is this the Comedy Club?...

I don't pose around with my guns thinking "ooh, I look like SAS, I look like a SEAL, I look like a Para...". The COSPLAY aspect should be reserved for children, retards and those across the pond, IMO. Sorry, it's just my opinion. Maybe because I'm serving I just hate the whole 'Walt' thing...

I hardly skirmish now, but when I do the last thing on my mind is "does this vest suit this camo?" - I'm going to have a laugh and p1ss about with toy guns!

I used to care about "loadouts" as such, especially when I first started this sport/hobby/fallingoverinforests, mind has changed since then.

So guns it is for me!

Historical re-enactors, no.

What's the difference?

Airsofters, Reenactors and LARPers are all just a bunch of guys dressing up to varying degrees of accuracy for poops and lulz.

Definitely for fun, I have an ICS m16a3 that I like, am tempted to buy a set of new camo and some boots but even if I don't meh.

At the end of the day the camo and guns are just tools my sport requires.

Airsoft is a fashion parade. For men.
'My guns bigger than yours' 'My camo's multicammer than yours' etc.
Then you get the proper softers... who play airsoft for... fun! Or milsim etc.

I played for the fun n social side of things but i cant be dealing with grown men acting more immature than me, and by many standards that know on me here thats impossible but ive seen it....

airsoft is on the backseat for mo due to those childish 40 yea old men whilst i try n sort my life out to put it blunt, hardly peachy at the moment..
