  • Ah. So how does the hammer know when to stay back on the extreme version?

I'm guessing when the trigger is released the sear clicks back to catch the hammer? I don't have one to take apart but that would be the easiest way of doing it.

      • Hmmm. Could be fun for hi caps owners to simply get their hands on the hammer mech and have an extreme!

Could weld the hammer catch mech to the trigger, saves a few pennies... if you have a welding kit mind you!

if you short stoke it enough then your hammer would not lock back but you`d not be able to stop the gun from emptying all the rounds with 1 trigger pull lol

the speed that even a 6 inch cycles when short stroked it pretty crazy even more so considering mine has a huge heavy metal slide.

You do lose a bit of recoil that`s the one big down side to me and if you short stroke too far the gun won`t be able to load another round in when it cycles.

I think nine ball do short stoke springs for hi capa`s or you can use a buffer spring kit or a few o-rings or spacers to make the slides action shorter.

Not entirely true. If the hammer is pulled back half way it locks (on a WE anyway!), so you would have to shortstroke so much that the hammer didnt half cock, meaning a bb wouldn't feed, meaning nothing would fire, and the next shot wouldn't be as powerful and would most likely fail to move the slide, thus ending the full auto story.

On the TM Extremeeeeeeeeee the hammer, Hammer sear and the disconnecter lever are different designs to the standard 1911/ hi capa parts along with the short stroking make the gun fire full auto anyway back to GUN PICS

Righty an updatey on my Pimping Stick!

Tidied it up nicely, painted the frame matte black, and painted the barrel gold for those extra respect points. Personally I feel it finished off the top half nicely, as it breaks up the barrel from the rest of the gun... just need to get a red dot now (decided to go for the red dot doctor sight on the back rather than the blue one). I also played around with the Macro settings on the camera and I like what it can do!

I can imagine that a good few pennies have gone into the externals, so why not put a few more pennies into the internals!

This my TM/STI 4.3, fantastic fun that I use for Practical Pistol. It's pimped out with a new value of £300 including PDI, STI, nineball etc. Too nice to skirmish, shame really as it shoot a 6inch group at 45yds (rested).
Selling or swapping if anyone's interested for something skirmishable!
