infact, if you have a old / spare VSR piston that could be the perfect bit of kit to use, chock off the piston head end and your sorted

Length is a bit short but still should be enough to use

ive had standard and a pdi 6.01 tightbore barrel in fully done up VSR's and personally allways got best results from the laylax 6.03. as it was the longer version i recomend it may slightly extends into the silencer if u have the gspec version (pro is longer outer barrel i believe).
can anybody else justify this answer
or has anyone got another answer to the best tb barrel for vsr10
i want to get the most out of a tb in range and accuracy
          so any one got answers?
          thanks

i would agree, although the 6.01 is tighter it's just not as good as the laylax 6.03 since there are other factors that affect the performance if a tightbore.

even pdi state there 6.03 is more accurate than there 6.01, just a bit more cushion of air around the bb to hold it on its path

but yeah im going to be doing an expensive sniper build again soon with 6.03 barrel internally

just need to get rid of my CA M14 (in my sig) to fund the project

                    • Also I need advice on whether to get the pdi palsonite vc cylinder set or the hd one or the laylax cylinder set
What would you guys recommend out of those options
And I have pdi sears (not the whole trigger)
And I'll have the laylax barrel
And I have the laylax 120 sp spring
                      Thanks

Get the HD, you don't need the VC unless you are running a really long barrel, over 500mm.
If you get the cylinder set, of any flavour you'll need the PDI spring also as the laylax spring, at 11mm is too small to go over the PDI spring guide.

                        • Apparently the derelin on both vc and hd piston wears away quickly
Also the o ring wears away or something after 100 or so bbs
So what should I do get the laylax piston with the pdi set

I'd say that info was wrong and probably from someone who has never used PDI parts. Either way, it's not advisable to mix parts in the way you're suggesting. It may well work fine but as far as I know, it's not been tried.
The tolerances on the different brand parts may well render the whole thing useless.

You can't use the cylnder set spring guide with a laylax spring, and you can't use a PDI spring with a laylax piston, they are different sizes. That would make buying the set pointless in the first place.
